After last rally, held 14th may, exhaust mufler was totally broken by stone shoots. As a “do it yourself” solution, I find an old muffler in good shape. The question was just, if its quiet enough to match those noise regulations in rally. Because of that I decided to “Pimp my ride” a lit bit. One of my co-operation partners is a local recycling company. I made a short wonderland trip to their field and finally found an old stainless steel coffee thermos bottle. By using that outside and inside a perforated tube from old muffler I welded a nice endmufler.

Looks good, and sounds better. Rebuild costs nearly nothing.

Test drive was directly after rebuild in one local small rally, Imatran-ralli, held 27th August 2011. Totally 35km SS it was good practise before bigger events. Because of small organisation, there wasn´t any noise measuring, so it´s still unknown how “good” db-values we have now. The rally itself was good for us, and without any problem we managed to drive podium in first place overall between all Historic cars.
