Re-building Saab shortnose high power radiator.
Old tinsmith Seppo Mikkanen in his “yesterdays workshop”. Its marvellous that he did a favor for me despite that he is already retired.Here he is repairing radiator for some tractor.
My project twostroker´s original radiator. It is quite good condition, so I leaved it to Seppo for leak checking. I will storage it as a future spare part.
Instead to use original one, I find out other similar radiator in poor condition. Seppo dismantled it parts, which he renovated.
Look, how the tube goes thru the bottom container. The underside of the pipe is open.
New big 3-row radiator cell- Made in Finland.
Its huge difference between old and new cell. Amount of tubes is 109 vs. original 74. So increase is ca. 47 %.
New cell is also little bit thicker.

Straight lamella Cell’s make that this made in Finland radiator looks like original.
