Fuel supply- if you want to reach your destination !
I have all ready long time ago notice how important thing is proper fuel delivery to the engine. All small things must look through carefully, especially if you want drive with you car long distance. That fore I pay special attention to that issue. Please, look an photo gallery below:

70 Liter fuel tank from Ex Works rally V4. I want to drive more than 200 km without re-fueling..
Sensor wiring need some extension, because this tank has sensor an opposite corner than a std 2t tank. Notice copper- tube. I make it to serve make up-air to the tank. Self joint was all ready in place

I recommend warmly an extra fuel filter BEFORE fuel pumps. I have use method to cut fuel pipe under rear seat and putting an universal filter between tubes. Its simply, its cheap, its works perfect, and its clean to change on the road if need.
Original fuel pumps: Douple SU from SAAB GT 750 and 1x Harting.
The single one was ”Made in Germany” by Harting. From car magazines i found add´s from 60´s, where this type of Harting-pumps were on sale.

Harting looks as a Original SU. All the fuel tubes were straight. I wondered it a while….
and decide to make expansion to each tube. I also find out, that brake tube- tool is a perfect method to do that.
More challenging was to repair Harting pump by using original Saab/Su spareparts. Behind you can see Harting chopper tips and front is SU´s.
Harting´s membrane was good shape, so the biggest task was adjusting the tips. It took one day to me find out the right position ! All the values write down in Saab´s 2t Workshop Manual, were, let say, not so right to that pump. One good idea I found. 4 inch nail is a perfect ”special tool when you tight body screws as told in workshop manual.
Before demolition of the double SU-pump, I made marks to the pump housing; 1x dot and 2x dots. I wanted to put parts back exactly to the right position

Douple pump membranes were totally hardened.
Thanks for Swedish Saab- club, I got Saab/SU new repairsets. Notice 11 copper washers and their location. Sure, I looked them also from the floor.. so be carefully. One wondering was tiny transparent film on the membrane. I leaved it, and test how it works; no Idea whether i should take out or leave ??
Thanks for original SU-pumps, workshop manual instructions works exactly to the douple pump, and it took only 1-2 hour to repair it. I got also idea to use bi-sycle inner tube as a sealant to the pump ending. Originally is sealed by insulation tape.
